Summary of Work and Project History

Bill Lockley of Lockley Engineering completed an indentured electrical apprenticeship in 1984 in-conjunction with attending Wollongong University as a degree trainee with Kembla Coal and Coke. During this period Bill worked as an apprentice, an electrician and finally a shift electrical engineer at Vale Engineering, Coal Cliff and Darkesforest Collieries.

In 1989 Bill was employed by the Mining and Materials Department of GEC Projects based at Milperra, NSW. The significant project at that time was the upgrade of the Alcoa Pt Henry's Pot Line Cranes.
